A little about me

Hello and welcome, I'm Jane, the founder and owner of The Revamp Shack, Peterborough.

Born from an enthusiasm for recycling, I started upcycling out of necessity because I wanted something different and I love unique items. I have always been passionate about updating furniture and giving it a new lease of life.

Fortunately, I was able to turn a passionate hobby into a successful business. I started The Revamp Shack in December 2015 from my home and had a small retail  unit where I sold my pieces.  But I decided that creating bespoke pieces for individuals using their own furniture gives me so much more pleasure.  So I am now based in a workshop Workspace House in Peterborough.

My painting style is varied and includes the arts of stencilling and decoupage, alongside various paint techniques to give a shabby chic, rustic, or more modern contemporary look to a piece. I use only the finest, hand-picked materials and finishes in every project, and do everything to use local sources where possible.

Thank you for considering The Revamp Shack to give your shabby chic furniture a unique makeover. Please enter your details below and I will get back to you soon. We don't have a set price list because each piece is unique and no two jobs are the same. But I am more than happy to offer a free quotation with no obligation to proceed.

Thanks for submitting!

My Mother in law has just had her wall unit painted by Jane @ The Revamp Shack. Excellent service, Jane even advised on the best colour to match her decor and returned with samples to help her choose. Nothing too much trouble. The finished piece looks fantastic and mother in law is thrilled with it. Highly recommend. Looking for more furniture to be updated.
